God is mighty in His sovereignty, and He is sovereign in His might.

Today I reflected on the following characteristics of God in order to praise Him better:

God is mighty in His sovereignty,

Exodus 9:16 - "But for this purpose I have raised you up, to show you my power, so that my name may be proclaimed in all the earth."

and He is sovereign in His might.

Exodus 14:27-31 - "The LORD threw the Egyptians into the midst of the sea. The waters returned and covered the chariots and the horsemen; of all the host of Pharaoh that had followed them into the sea, not one of them remained. But the people of Israel walked on dry ground through the sea, the waters being a wall to them on their right hand and on their left. Thus the LORD saved Israel that day from the hand of the Egyptians, and Israel saw the Egyptians dead on the seashore. Israel saw the great power that the LORD used against the Egyptians, so the people feared the LORD, and they believed in the LORD."

You Have Not Honored

Daniel 5:23b, 30
You have praised the gods of silver and gold... which do not see or hear or know, but the God in whose hand is your breath, and whose are all your ways, you have not honored... That very night Belshazzar... was killed.

How many coworkers, friends, family members, people do you know that are sprinting down this same road to death? We must declare to them the good news of the Savior of the world!

Romans 5:8-9,11
God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God... We also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.

Join us in confessing the reconciliation that was purchased in Christ's death to the world!

Back from the Blog Break

Hey fam! With all the transition that has occurred recently, we inadvertently decided to take a week-long break from the blog so we could focus on resting and spending time with our family and friends. It has been a really sweet time.
