Ten Lessons From a Year of Church Planting

Not a top 10 list, but almost...

    1.  Only God will satisfy.
    2.  God is better than comfort.
    3.  The glory of God is better to pursue than the glory of man.
    4.  Trust God in change.
    5.  Fight for time with Jesus.
    6.  God is a God who does the impossible.
    7.  Wait on the Lord. His timing is perfect.
    8.  God provides.
    9.  Following God on mission is a great privilege.
10.Trusting God at his Word will bring the embodiment of it.

These truths were joyously shared as a group of leaders from our church plant got together and talked about what God has taught us in seeking to bring the gospel to the city of Seattle through the planting of Downtown Cornerstone Church.

Merry Christmas Texas...

We're going to Oakland tonight to celebrate Christmas with our CA family whom we haven't seen since May, so we're pumped! However, we are indeed sad to miss celebrating with our family in Texas, eating sausage balls (at least Christy is) and watching the kids (including the old ones ;-) open up the gifts we picked out for them.
Merry Christmas Texas...You're hanging on the front of our tree!

"By His blood, we can sing before His throne"

I have been listening to this refrain consistently this Advent season and it has taught me to look to Christ's coming. Let it encourage you as it has encouraged me. Lyrics below.
